Biography
Loren Shanklin Fleshman obtained her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Civil Law from Louisiana State University in 2010. She is licensed to practice in all Louisiana State and Federal Courts as well as the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Loren graduated from Louisiana State University receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a concentration in History. Prior to attending Louisiana State University Law School, Loren was a middle school teacher in East Baton Rouge Parish. Although she loved teaching, Loren made the decision to go to Law School in 2007.
The day after being sworn in to become a licensed Louisiana attorney, Loren was enrolled into a wrongful death case with John H Smith and took her first witness in open court; this case resulted in a multi-million dollar judgment. This case early in her career continues to inspire her to seek justice for those in need. Since that time, Loren has secured millions of dollars in settlements and judgments for her clients.
Loren is a dedicated leader within the legal community. Since 2012, she has been elected by her peers to hold leadership roles in both the Baton Rouge Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association.
Loren is recognized for her expertise in her field and has presented various continuing legal education (CLE) presentations across Louisiana, sharing her knowledge and experience with fellow attorneys.
Outside of her legal practice, Loren is a devoted wife and mother of three wonderful children. She actively participates in various ministries at her church and cherishes spending quality time with her family. More than just a personal injury attorney, Loren is a leader, a teacher, a mother and a volunteer, driven by her unwavering commitment to helping others every day.
